Strato sole - Your mini-trampoline
The Olten black has a Strato sole and therefore a higher Rebound-Effect. The Strato sole is designed to roll better in the backfoot area than previous kybun soles. This type of sole offers maximum effect as well as the ultimate in training performance and absorption. The foot pressure is evenly distributed and the full strength of the body is optimised. The elastic and springy material compensates poor postures and misalignments by stretching the posterior muscle chain with each step and the full-length sole profile with larger contact area to the ground ensures optimal grip on any surface.
Foot climate system
The airy honeycomb structure of the kybun shoe creates an air-cushion between your foot and the ground. Every step pumps a fifth of the air volume into the foot space to create a comfortable shoe climate.

The Olten black is produced in our own production facility in Montebelluna near Venice, Italy. We manufacture the Swiss air-cushion shoe and its elastic springy sole largely by hand, using a process that includes up to 40 different steps by a dedicated workforce of skilled shoemakers and kybun's Swiss high-tech sole robot. Both production facilities (Switzerland an northern Italy) follow the exact same manufacturing processes.

This is my second pair of Kybuns and very comfortable, if somewhat large and unflattering. I've worn them across muddy fields and they're easy to clean. I'm sure they have helped alleviate my limp following recent tibial plateau surgery. And 3 years ago i had a crushed thoracic vertebra so have rods and screws supporting my spine. Often this area becomes stiff and painful, which I'm told is muscular. The shoes seem to have helped to relax my shoulders and back. And my balance has improved hugely, which may help me stay on my horse! I just wish they would make ladies' shoes in larger sizes as only a few men's shoes are suitable for women and they're not feminine! So many young women have very big feet these days that size 10 UK isn't unusual. I would certainly buy sandals if they were available and probably some more trainers.

Initially the boots felt so hard and were no match with the shoes I already had. I ask a number of questions - which customer services were very patient and answer everyone of them. Now a few months in the boots are as comfortable as my shoes are and so I can thoroughly recommend these boots. One thing I have bought some elastic laces which helps me (I am getting well into retirement now) fasten them easily and snuggly. Thanks for being patient with me - you were right all the way. Fully recommed to all potential buyers.
